Secrets of Art Nouveau – English Guided Tour with Champagne

Discover the elegance of Hungarian Art Nouveau in an exclusive guided visit to one of Budapest’s hidden architectural gems.

On two special Fridays in July, the ResoArt Villa opens its doors for an intimate English-language tour that brings the world of turn-of-the-century art and design to life. Guests are welcomed with a glass of champagne served in the villa’s refined salon, before embarking on a guided exploration of this beautifully preserved heritage residence.

During the one-hour tour, visitors will uncover the intricate symbolism of the Hungarian Secessionist style – from floral and mythological motifs on the façade to a stained-glass window and ornate wrought-iron detailing inside. Particular attention is given to the rare Zsolnay ceramics of the ResoArt Collection, which offer a vivid dialogue between applied arts and architecture.

The villa, once the private residence of architect Albert Kálmán Kőrössy, is a masterpiece of unified artistic vision, where every element – from Miksa Róth’s stained-glass window to the delicate interior ornamentation – contributes to the Gesamtkunstwerk ideal of the period.

Although this programme was available only during summer, we are happy to offer it year-round as a private guided tour upon request.
If you are interested in booking a private visit in English, please contact us directly.
