Secrets of Art Nouveau – English Guided Tour with Champagne

Discover the elegance of Hungarian design on an exclusive Art Nouveau Tour in Budapest at the magnificent ResoArt Villa. This English guided visit invites you to step inside one of the city’s most enchanting Art Nouveau mansions, where history, architecture, and craftsmanship meet in perfect harmony.

On two special Fridays in July, the ResoArt Villa opens its doors for an intimate English-language experience that brings the world of turn-of-the-century art and design to life. Guests are welcomed with a glass of champagne in the villa’s refined salon, before embarking on a guided exploration of this beautifully preserved architectural gem.

During the one-hour tour, visitors uncover the intricate symbolism of the Hungarian Secessionist style — from floral and mythological motifs on the façade to the luminous stained-glass window and ornate wrought-iron details inside. The tour also highlights the rare Zsolnay ceramics of the ResoArt Collection, revealing the vivid dialogue between applied arts and architecture that defined the era.

Originally built as the private home of architect Albert Kálmán Kőrössy, the villa is a masterpiece of unified artistic vision. Every element — from Miksa Róth’s stained glass to the delicate interior ornamentation — reflects the Gesamtkunstwerk ideal of the period, where art and design blend seamlessly.

Although this programme was once available only during summer, it can now be enjoyed year-round as a private guided tour upon request. If you wish to book your Art Nouveau tour in Budapest or arrange an exclusive English visit with champagne, please contact us directly at resoart@resoart.hu.
